Addis Ababa, April 22, 2023 (FBC) – The Ethiopian delegation paid a visit to companies in Busan, Republic of Korea, that expressed interest in investing in Ethiopia and discussed potential investment opportunities with the CEOs of these companies.
Dessie Dalkie, Ethiopia’s ambassador to the Republic of Korea, and the Ethiopian delegation led by Daniel Teresa, Deputy Commissioner of Ethiopian Investment, visited DK-LoK CORP., which specialized in instrumentation of fittings and valves. They also discussed with the CEO of the company.
Amb. Dessie Dalkie expressed his appreciation for the welcome accorded to them and urged the company to invest in Ethiopia.
He emphasized the urgent need for investments in Ethiopia, citing the country’s huge population, its strategic geographical location to the African market, and the Government’s commitment to creating a conducive investment climate for foreign investors.
Daniel Teresa emphasizes the need for such advanced investments in Ethiopia highlighting the availability of a young and trainable workforce as well as a tailored incentive for manufacturing industries.
He also underlined that the company could benefit from Ethiopia’s workforce for its Korean investment in Busan, Republic of Korea.
The Ethiopian delegation also visited JINYOUNG KOREA CO.,Ltd which produces wire mesh & urged the company to visit and invest in Ethiopia.
CEOs of both companies said that they have plans to visit Ethiopia in October 2023 along with other Korean companies.
