Addis Ababa, June 26, 2023 (FBC) – The Director General of Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority Adugna Debela held a discussion with Shri Robert Shetkintong, the Ambassador of India to Ethiopia.
In their discussion, the two dignitaries advised on the potentials where Ethiopia and India can work together in the field of coffee and tea.
Adugna Debela mentioned that Ethiopia and India have enjoyed a long-standing diplomatic relations and have been working closely on multifaceted areas of cooperation.
He also reminded that there are Indian investors who are engaged in the coffee and tea sector in Ethiopia.
It is stated that the two officials also discussed ways to jointly tackle potential challenges that may occur in the sector.
The Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority indicated that Ambassador Shri Robert visited the Authority’s coffee training center.
