Embassy Says Working To Attracting Russian Investors To Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, March 11, 2024 (FBC) – Russian embassy in Addis Ababa stated that it is working aggressively to attract Russian investors to industrial parks in Ethiopia.

Ethiopia’s Industrial Parks Development Corporation CEO, Aklilu Tadesse had a discussion with Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Ethiopia Evgeny Terekhin on ways of cementing investment cooperation between their two countries.

IPDC CEO, Aklilu Tadesse, stated stressed the need for Ethiopia and Russia to enhance their investment, describing the longstanding bilateral relations between the two countries as a fertile ground to do so.

Ambassador Evgeny Terekhin, for his part, said that the Embassy is encouraging Russian business to seize opportunities in Ethiopia and invest in industrial parks in the country.

The Ambassador disclosed that a delegation of Russian business communities will pay a visit to Ethiopia soon as a pre-investment engagement.

The Ambassador also visited the Hawassa Industrial Park and appreciated the infrastructural development there, commending the park as a better destination for foreign investments.
